Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021 when she joined CNN. The reporter will serve as the Space and Defense Correspondent. She is a reporter covering everything from NASA, Space Force, Space Force and commercial space companies, to the emergence of space tourism. Kristin was raised in the field of space as the grandchild and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she's been covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations on FOX News. During that time, she also covered presidential impeachment proceedings and the 2020 presidential election and the efforts of two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. Kristin was on the road frequently, and both with the vice president and president. She was even on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to joining the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as a CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin utilized her knowledge behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The company was a specialist in documentary films and was a favorite of corporate clients such as Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor in Science in Journalism, which she received from Boston University. She is currently living in Washington, D.C., with her family, including their daughter, who is three years old.
